Freeze-Dried Astronaut Ice Cream

Science museums are really cool places with tons of wonderful learning experiences available to the public. You can walk through giant heart models, see dazzling laser displays, even gape at actual moon landers. But let’s face it, the best part of every science museum is normally in a bin near the cash register: freeze dried ice cream. Four of the tastiest words in the English language. But thanks to ThinkGeek.com, you can now get the ice cream astronauts eat without the risk of accidentally learning anything. Yay!ThinkGeek.com sells the famous freeze-dried ice cream at $2.99 a pop, and offers three flavor choices: Mint Chocolate Chip, Chocolate Chocolate Chip, and my personal favorite, Neopolitan. Space age strawberry is just so delicious! You also get 50 “Geek Points” for each ice cream bar that you buy, which adds up quickly (the geek points are redeemable for some seriously cool things, including the USB Snowbot which is now sitting on my desktop thanks to Geek Points - but that’s another day, another post).

If this post has you feeling nostalgic or hungry, head on over to ThinkGeek.com and grab you some delicious yummy food technology!
